János Bálint was born in 1961 in Hungary. In the year 1984 he got his Master at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. After this he completed his musical development with Andras Adorjan. He got many prizes in several International Competitions (Ancona, Leipzig, Markneukirchen). Solo Flute of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra between 1981 and 1991 and of the Hungary Philharmonic Orchestra between 2000 and 2006. At the moment he is Professor at the University of Music Detmold, Germany, at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music of Budapest, Hungary, and Supervisor of the Kragujevac Academy of Music, Serbia. Founder and Director of the Doppler Institut of Music in Budapest. As soloist he gave concerts in Europe, USA, Japan, Taiwan, Korea und Israel. He recorded 24 CDs with Hungaroton, Capriccio and Naxos. Every year János Bálint gives 10-12 masterclasses worldwide. In the year 2008 he got the Franz Liszt Price of the Hungarian Ministery of Culture and Instruction, the highest award for the Music Performance in Hungary.
